Ostrand Eel Canning is a food company, based at Oberbach in Kesselhöh. The company was founded on 9 January 1902 by Hugo Ostrand and has traded for 124 years.

Ostrand Eel Canning — Oberbach — tinned eel, reed-root and preserved goods. The name on the tin is the name on the gate.

Our founder. Hugo Ostrand, nurse, was born at Vellmar on 2 March 1865 and died on 2 December 1921.

We make and supply tinned eel, reed-root and preserved goods. Ask your dealer, or telephone the works at Oberbach.

Sold at Oberbach and through dealers in every region. The town has 5 other food houses; ours is the one with our name on it.
